Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Attend all meetings of the Industry Council of the Center
for Exhibition Industry Research and represent the interests and the
Mission and Vision statements of IAAM.
2. Communicate activities of CEIR with the Chair, Convention
Centers/Exhibit Halls Committee and the CIC representative, and
solicit input and advice from these representative groups. IAAM's
CEIR representative is to coordinate and seek committee
recommendations regarding IAAM's position on various industry
initiatives. The Convention Centers/Exhibit Halls Committee will
seek, as appropriate, IAAM Board approval on those issues requiring
an association stated position.
3. Report to the Board of Directors actions and activities of the
CEIR as it relates to IAAM and coordinate proposed Board actions
with the Director-at-Large Convention Centers; and prepare periodic
articles for IAAM e-News to inform membership on activities of CEIR
and IAAM participation.
4. Will sit on IAAM’s Industry Affairs Council (IAC) and make
regular reports through the Council Chair of activities regarding
CEIR.
